Dillberg Integrated Healthcare Hosts
Egoscue Foundation Patch “O” Course Benefit
November 18, 2009 at Plantation Gardens
Dillberg Integrated Healthcare, located in Poipu is hosting its first Egoscue Foundation Patch “O” Course Benefit and Silent Auction on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Plantation Gardens' restaurant. Dinner reservations begin at 5:30 p.m. and can be made by calling (808) 742-2121.
Dillberg Integrated Healthcare is inviting its friends and community to the event in order to reach their goal of $5,000 and donate the Patch “O” Course to Kauai. Along with award-winning cuisine from Plantation Gardens, a silent auction will be held with amazing prizes from Kauai businesses including certificates for dining, massage, Chiropractic and more. All proceeds from the silent auction, as well as 10% from each restaurant check at Plantation Gardens, will go to the Egoscue Foundation for Kauai’s Patch “O” Course.
The Egoscue method, practiced at Dillberg Integrated Healthcare, is a process that involves a series of stretches and gentle egoscuecises designed to strengthen specific muscles and bring the body back to its proper alignment and function.
The Egoscue Foundation, the charitable division of Egoscue, Inc., created the Patch “O” Course in an effort to reduce and eliminate childhood obesity by integrating physical activities that children already like to do: playing, balancing and using their imagination. The Patch "O" Course is a fun and versatile obstacle course that is made out of structural and durable plastic beams, bases, and base tops, which make it lightweight and portable. The course uses body weight for resistance to improve coordination, balance, and strength, incorporating all the components of fitness.
In order to meet the community's health and educational needs, Dillberg Integrated Healthcare has dedicated itself to donating the Patch "O" Course to the island of Kauai. They will service the equipment, as well as offer training programs to Kauai’s public schools and youth programs integrating the Patch “O” Course into their current fitness curriculum. The cost of the Patch “O” Course through the Egoscue Foundation is $5,000, a worthwhile investment in our children’s health and future. The Egoscue Foundation is a non-profit organization; therefore, all donations are tax deductible.
